This is especially helpful after breathing dust or other irritating substances. Put one teaspoon salt into 2 cup container, add warm water and stir. Then pour some into netti put and put the spout on the netti pot into one nostril when your head is bent over as shown in the next picture. Keep mouth open and breath through the mouth. There should be very little drainage from the sinuses into the mouth, if any. The saline irrigating solution will run through the sinuses and come out the other nostril.</div> <bR> <div> <IMG SRC="0df80ab0.jpg" border=0 width="640" height="427" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div> Saline solution runs in one nostril, flushes through the sinuses, and comes out the other nostril. This is an excellent way to clean out irritating pollens and dust.</div> <bR> <div> <IMG SRC="0e080ab0.jpg" border=0 width="640" height="427" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div> If the salt concentration is right (about 1 teaspoon for two cups warm water) it does not burn or hurt. DO NOT use chlorinated water. If you do not find a proper solution concentration to avoid burning sensation, you may add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to the solution. After doing one side, then alternate with the other side until you have used the solution up by flushing in both directions.</div> </td> </tr></table></body>
